Before registration, please read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
FindYourTeachers.com (FYT.com) is an online teacher-student matching service.
Teachers may advertise your language services using a profile page, and
students can search and purchase teachers contact information. Teachers
and students can then arrange to conduct language lessons or for proofreading.
1.1. These terms and conditions apply to all and any use of FYT.com, any
services, and all e-mails, message, postings and other communications run
by FYT.com
1.2. By using FYT.com you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.3. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions then you should
not use FYT.com.
2. Use of FindYourTeachers.com
2.1. By registering your services on FYT.com you confirm that you are a qualified and experienced teacher of the language(s) that you are advertising on your profile. If you are advertising proof-reading services then you confirm that you are experienced in professional proof-reading.
2.2. FYT.com requires all teachers to upload a picture of themselves to their profile page. If this is not done FYT can delete the teacher's profile from the website.
2.3. FYT.com has the right to delete teachers' profiles if the profiles do not meet FYT.com criteria. FYT.com can do this without contacting you prior to, or after, removal.
2.4. You agree to keep your profile updated on a regular basis.
2.5. You are solely responsible for your profile, and are the only person allowed to access and change the details of your profile page (this therefore excludes administrative access (but is not limited to) to family members, spouses, partners and friends).
2.6. You agree to accept/add the students messenger addresses to whichever
messenger service you have advertised on your profile when FYT.com sends
you the student information.
2.7. After FYT.com sends you the students e-mail address FYT.com has no liability or responsibility to help with setting up lessons or to otherwise assist with communication between teachers and students.
2.8. FYT.com will provide all students with your profile information. FYT.com
cannot guarantee that you will be able to arrange paid lessons with students
whilst subscribing to use FYT.com services.
2.9. FYT.com provides the profile system for your convenience but FYT.com has no responsibility or liability in the event of email or communication difficulties.
2.10. You must conduct your communications with FYT.com and students found through FYT.com with the utmost professionalism at all times.
2.11. You agree that you will not use a student e-mail address except for
arranging lessons. If FYT.com learns that you have been contacting students
about matters other than arranging lessons, without the students consent
FYT.com reserves the right to terminate your contract with us without notice
and without refund.
2.12. If FYT.com discovers from students that your conduct has been unprofessional
(e.g. (but not limited to) not contacting the student when contacted; raising
your advertised prices without FYT.com knowledge; teaching whilst intoxicated;
rude, unfriendly or aggressive behaviour; engaging in lewd behaviour etc)
we reserve the right to terminate your contract with us without notice
and without refund.
2.13. If FYT.com receives complaints about you or your teaching we reserve the right to terminate your contract with us, without refund.
2.14. By using FYT.com you agree to keep your availability schedule up-to-date and your contact details accurate.
2.15. If you decide you do not wish to advertise your services on FYT.com please delete your profile.
2.16. If you are going out-of-town, or on vacation for a few days, please make sure you update your schedule on your profile so that students do not attempt to request lessons with you in that time.
2.17. Monetary transactions between you and the student are solely your
responsibility. FYT.com has no responsibility or liability for any financial
transactions between teachers and students.
3. Premium Subscription
3.1. On receipt of your premium subscription (1500yen) your information
will be shown for 90 days in bold black on the search results and will
be marked with "Premium". (You can register for this service
from your profile page after registration).
3.2. FYT.com will not refund any subscription monies even in the event
that you get no requests from students.
3.3. The subscription contract between you and FYT.com will last until
the end of the three month (after subscribing) even if you decide within
that time that you do not need to advertise with us.
4. Connection check
4.1. FYT.com will do an internet connection check with you on receipt of
payment (3000yen). If the connection is stable FYT.com will put a note
on your profile stating that you have a stable connection. Furthermore,
your profile will be shown for 180 days in bold purple on the search results
and will also be marked with "Checked" so that students can easily
see. (You can request the connection check during the registration process
or at any time after from your profile page).
4.2. FYT.com cannot guarantee that we can help you fix any computer issues you may have which limits your connection.
4.3. FYT.com will not refund any connection check fee even if FYT.com is unable to help you get a stable internet connection.
5. Copyright, and other Intellectual Property Rights.
5.1. All copyright, design rights, patents, know-how, trade and business
names, trade marks and trade secrets (whether registered or unregistered)
and any applications (Intellectual Property Rights in FindYourTeachers.com
belong to FindYourTeachers.com. All such rights are hereby asserted and
reserved.
5.2. You shall not:
(a) Hack, attempt to hack, re-use, modify, transmit, re-post, or use any or all of FYT.com or the information contained therein for any purpose other than as set out as above.
(b) Make any public or commercial use of FYT.com without FindYourTeachers.coms prior written consent.
(c) Display, publish, copy, print, post or otherwise use FYT.com and the
information contained therein for the benefit of any third party or web
site without FindYourTeacher.coms prior written consent.
(d) Process or otherwise use the information contained on or within FYT.com for any immoral or illegal purpose, nor use or process any of the information contained on or within FYT.com unfairly.
5.3. You agree and undertake that you will not post or transmit to FYT.com any statement, material or Communication that:
(a) is technically harmful such as computer viruses, worms, or any other malicious software or harmful data;
(b) harasses any person;
(c) is abusive, aggressive, pornographic, libelous, defamatory, obscene, untrue, inflammatory or racist material whatsoever;
(d) is unlawful or which gives rise to civil or criminal liability;
(e) promotes any illegal or unlawful activity;
Please make sure you have read and understood the above terms and conditions
before registering your profile with us. On registering to Find Your Teachers.com
these Terms and Conditions will thus be in effect and is a binding contract between 'you', the teacher, and 'us', Find Your Teachers.com
